Interested in finding out what it’s like to drive a hybrid or electric vehicle? Now’s your chance! The Montreal Auto Show, in collaboration with CAA-Quebec, is offering the chance to try 13 different EVs and plug-in hybrids to show goers.
Driving an electric car is not the same as piloting a traditional gas-powered example, and the best way to understand the differences is to take the wheel. So, from 15-24 January 2016, you’ll be able to try the latest models available in Canada.
To test handling, braking, acceleration and each models’ individual habits, a 3.1 km circuit has been set up for your efficient-driving pleasure. With a mix of urban driving and a handling course, it’s the time to prove the potential of these vehicles.
To augment the experience, a representative of CAA-Quebec will accompany you, in order to outline the advantages of the cars, and to answer any questions you may have. It’s an open forum; questions about autonomy, tax breaks, and government incentives for EV buyers are all fair game.
Anybody who visits the Montreal show gets a free ride; all you have to do is sign-up upon entering the show. Remember: if you are considering a hybrid or EV purchase, know that rare is it that you get to sample each and every one, side-by-side and in one place.
